“Rugby is still all about fun” – Scott Hastings

Our more eagle-eyed customers will have seen that we have been proud to use a number of photographs of Scott Hastings on our web site, taken from the day he opened a new fitness trail manufactured and installed by sportsequip at Inverleith Park in Edinburgh.

Scott volunteered to do this because Inverleith was his local park.

Today we join with the rest of the Rugby community in mourning the passing of the most capped international centre in the history of Scottish rugby.

At the time sportsequip were happy to help Scott with a personal charity connected to his late mother-in-law’s motor neurone disease (MND). That eventually motivated Scott to do more and become an ambassador for other MND causes including his friends’ “My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

Scott said:

“I recognise that rugby is still all about fun.”

sportsequip would like to thank him for allowing us to show that he also thought sport and exercise in other forms can be fun too.
